Separate asset ownership from business earnings
Prepare a list of equipment and property with the owning entity, liens, and leases. Assets held personally or in another company require an explicit decision about what will transfer.
Show how the company wins its work
Describe repeat customers, quoting, and order scheduling without naming accounts in a broad marketing document. Identify any customer whose departure would materially reduce revenue.
Bring the lease into the first discussion
A buyer needs enough certainty about the premises to operate and arrange financing. Gather renewal, assignment, and rent terms early, even if the landlord has always been easy to work with.
Evaluate an operating sale against a wind down
Compare likely proceeds, debt payoff, closing costs, and continuing obligations. Disposing of equipment does not automatically settle a lease, warranties, or employee matters.
Continue your sale preparation
Request a business sale introduction when you are ready to discuss your company.
